My sister, Que (left) was in SF for a medical conference, so Mom & I met up with her for a short visit.
I had to touch the water in the Atlantic, so why not the Pacific also?
This beach is supposed to have one of the longest strands of sand in this area, but it may have been washed away in last weeks storm. It was just very rocky.
You buy tickets at a separate Visitor's Center, 5 miles down the hill from the castle. A bus transports tour groups to the top.
We pulled over at one of the many scenic vista points to enjoy the view.
I think Mom liked this tree!

Mom has visited Sterns Wharf before and remembers it fondly.
I took a side route to take some pictures, so Mom struck up a conversation with some local girls.
Mom finally got a chance to have another campfire. We roasted little hot dogs and marshmellows, quite good actually.
It rained last night and was still raining this morning when Mom decided to check out the beach.
We both enjoyed just sitting here and watching the waves
The creek is behind Mom, just before it empties into the Pacific Ocean.
We stopped here for lunch first, before later finding a campsite just about 1/2 mile north of here.
Well, Mom and I have made it to the third 'corner' in our circumnavigation of the USA.
Ed and Jean are friends of Mom's from the Shelton, spending the winter in Phoenix.
This is my nephew, Raul Jr. He was working on a present for someone, so I covered that portion of the photo with cardboard. Pretty sloppy editing, but it preserves the surprise?

Mom was surprised at how large this cactus was.

There are 363 steps on this tour, somehow she actually made it through all of them!
There are quite a few shops in Tombstone nowdays. We visited a few. I liked the wood sidewalks, gave it an authentic feel.
