Pandan Island, 20 mins ride by pump-boat from the larger Mindoro Island in the Philippines is home to a private resort and is surrounded by some spectacular dive sites. Apart from beautiful coral reefs and an abundance of colorful marine life the shelf off the island is also home to sea turtles calmly eating sea grass and having themselves cleaned by some scavenger fish.
Doc Let Beach Resort is now named 'Paradise Resort'. Great place to relax if you want to have solitude, no distractions here. I met the owner, an 81 yr old guy from Croatia, stayed for lunch($4) and had the use of the facilites.
View looking south at Paradise Resort. It is an all inclusive resort and is not overpriced. Room & all meals were under $20/day. Too quiet for me, but would be a great place with your significant other.

Pescoluse, Torre Pali, Lido Marini and Posto Vecchio: crystal waters, the dunes of fine sand, fantastic sunsets, a surrounding countrysid with typical dry stone walls and wild fennel. A lot of strong and intens sensations that in this corner of SALENTO are never exhausted.
Nice beach and nice water for swimming. Hotels just across the street. Best place to stay in S'ville, IMO.
Plenty of sports options as well as just getting some sun and a swim.
There are the usual vendors walking the sand, but I did not feel they were pushy, unlike VN. I usually buy something from the little ones as I know how poor most Cambodians are. I get fruit or a cold drink and they have some business. Support the little guy when you can.
