It was nice and sunny when I was in Beijing on one occasion (normally you don't get so lucky), so I walked around :)
It costs 60 RMB to get in, and it's kind of nice, but the crowds are HUGE -- especially on Chinese national holidays. Try to travel there when not on holiday, unless you're an ESL teacher in China, in which case that might be your only chance :D
I walked to Wangfujing from my hostel in a hutong outside the Forbidden City. Beijing is huge and sprawly, but it's great to walk when you can.

Crazy amount of people coming out of the underground at the Forbidden City!
This parking garage in Beijing uses a two-tiered parking system which electrically moves the cars up and over to use more of the space in the parking garage. Each owner has a remote that can be used to move their car in and out of the parking platform.

The original Beijing (Peking) Duck restaurant. From left to right: Jeremy, Mingsi (Nicole), Guo Hua (Mingsi's aunt), Yan Yan (Mingsi's mother), Bi Nan (Mingsi's uncle, Yan Yan's youngest brother). A " hot pot " restaurant. Menu: Beijing (Peking) Roast Duck, vegetable (asparagus and mini corns), sweet sour pork, pee leaves (oops I meant Pea Leaves.
