While we are panting and gasping for breath, with our light backpacks and a camera, these two natives walk so cool with the big loads at their back, jumping from one rock to the other barefoot.

21 years after the eruption of a 400-year dormant volcano, Mt. Pinatubo, rose this beautiful green lake right in the crater. To reach this place is a journey into the rivers, rocks and mountains formed from the lava of the volcano. It was a journey I will never forget.

Aru is a tourist spot in the Anantnag District of Jammu & Kashmir, India & is noted for its scenic meadows, lakes and mountains Aru a base camp for trekking to the Kolhoi Glacier and Tarsar. There are about 20 alpine lakes, peaks and meadows around the Aru Valley. In the winters, when Aru receives heavy snowfall it provides a great skiing arena. The altitude in Aru ranges from over 9842 feet to 18,000 feet (3000–5425 m) above sea level. I took this photo while driving to Pahelgam from Aru. Looking at it I think I should have had more patience.
