The higher we walk, the more we realize that snow is inevitable. After a particularly cool night, we walk across a small pass to be greeted with the snowline, which has graciously decided to come down to meet us.

The Stupa of Bhoudinath - a pilgrimage site in Kathmandu for Tibetan Buddists. What is not visible is the constant stream of devotees that circle the stupa from first light, to after dusk, all mumbling the buddist incantations as they spin the many prayer wheels at it's base.
