Phyllis took this photo of me from our vantage point on the same hill as the other pics of the Acropolis were taken
Taken from a hill in Athens
On our way up the Acropolis this is the Roman Theater
Stamitis and Phyllis on Mars Hill just below the Acropolis. The Greeks have another name for it which I have forgotten. The sgnificance is that this is where the Apostle Paul made a famous speech to Greeks concerning the teachings of Christ. When I lived in Greece the Air Force Chaplin would hold sunrise Easter Services on this hill.
On our way to the Acropolis. It was a bit rainy that day. Phyllis and Stamatis share his umbrella.
Following Around - I had pose as though she were waiting for someone, while standing in front of this pub.
This is a shot of the city, taken from atop the Acropolis, in the directin of where we were staying, kind of, I think. :)
Standing on the steps in front of the Parthenon
Liverpool fans congragating and singing in the square in front of the Greek Parliment. This was taken the day before their match with Milan, Italy.
Taken our first day at an outdoor cafe in Athens. We are with Stamatis at Agia Pareskavie, a square near his home and close to the Hotel Park where we stayed while in Athens.
Reunited with Stamatis after 44 years. How many people would you trust to pick you up at an Airport in a foriegn land not to mention make reservations for your hotel, and so much more. What a true friend.
In our 1st Class seats onboard the Delta Air craft which flew us from Atlanta to Athens in about 11 hours.
Phyllis is ready to go!
A brochure picture of our ship and it's sister ship.
