There isn't a lot of open space in Charleston, so I guess the squirrels take advantage of the grass on the Bunker Hill battlefield. Not the greatest of shots, but I like it that there are three all lined up.
These fellows are so used to the tourists, they don't really pay much attention to you, so you can get pictures of them quite easily.
A capuchin known as a, "white face" was photoed in Costa Rica.

I stopped for gas and in the field next to the station, these deer were eating, totally ignoring the cars.
We stopped for gas and saw these in the field next to the station.
This was on a privately held ranch that raised Bison (aka Buffalo). There were at least 300 head of buffalo visible in this herd.

These are at the Edgar I. Brown Homestead in South Dakota. It is the only prairie dog town with white prairie dogs!
Roberts Prairie Dog Town stretches a long way. It is in Badlands National Park (NP) in South Dakota
You can see the extent of the Prairie Dog Town by where the grass begins. They are very visible.
These folks go on vacation with their horses to places like this. Their horse trailers have room for them to bunk in front of the horse area.
There is actually quite a bit of wildlife in the Badlands, including Hawks and Buzzards.
I think Mom also had a picture of this same fellow, sorry - I do try not to duplicate?
Anybody know what kind of bird this is?
Mom was surprised at how much grassland is contained in the Badlands area of South Dakota. Not enough to homestead, but enough for wildlife.
