Herne Bay Kent
Herne Bay Kent Where I live.
This is a rocky beach, but is a favorite spot for rock hounds due to the agates and other, very colorful stones.
Phinikoudes is the most famous beach in Larnaca (Larnaka), Cyprus. Phinikoudes ( Greek Φοινικούδες ) means small palm trees (now grown into very big palm trees) that were planted in 1922.
Sandy beaches and rocky coastline appear to be the norm for the west coast, however, this is more typical weather the farther north we go.
This is on the Washington Coast about midway up the Olympic Penninsula. Ruby Beach is probably the most scenic beach I've ever seen (and I've seen a lot of beaches, especially on this trip)
This is the trail down to Ruby Beach. You can't really get a good view of the beach unless you hike down.
A small river (or creek) empties into the Pacific Ocean on the beach
Kalaloch is on the Olympic Loop Highway (Hwy 101) on the west coast of the Olympic Penninsula
The Kalaloch State Park has a limited number of campsites overlooking the beach.
There was more driftwood than usual due to the severe December storms this winter.

The waves in the foreground are unusually brown due to the runoff from yesterday's storm.
This is only a few hours drive from where I live, but I had no idea it was the worlds longest beach!
The area south of Westport, near Tokeland, is well known for erosion problems. They have lost portions of Hwy 105 more than once I think.
Copacabana is a truly urban beach and the center of Rio´s urban activities
This is on the "Three Capes" scenic drive in Oregon, between Pacific City and Tillamook. It's too bad they had to build so close to the beach
Same as the beaches we've been seeing for weeks, but the storm makes it look different.
