A shot of Makaibari village, looking north. The white bulding centre shot is the accommodation block of the tea factory; the gray buildings just left of it are the factory itself. If you follow the road up the hill, you come to a grey shed. Behind the grey shed is a red brick building with letterbox-shaped windows cut into the roof - this building is the community library i've been working on. On the ridge in the background you can see some buildings: these are in Kurseong town, most of which is spread on the other side of the ridge.
A wiev to the village I live in at wintertime
Every few minutes this volcano rumbles and roars over the small town of Banos. Huge plumes of smoke and ash tower above the crater
just as the name implies. The plane ride was pretty brutal and an hour bus ride followed 8 hours in the plane ; )
The view from the Mountain Temple was impressive. This photo only shows at least 1% of the beauty we witnessed that day, looking down on the city of Chiang Mai.

A stiffish climb up the pathway to Waynapichu gives this wonderful view of Machupicchu. You need to be reasonably fit to do this walk but the view at the top is worth the burning lungs and legs. Magic
