A dose of reality - Siem Reap may have had great nightlife and gorgeous temples but there is a harsher side. This landmine museum was set up by a guy who had been forced to plant mines by the Khymer Rouge when he was only five years old. He now spends all his time removing the mines with little more than a stick. He also has around 20 children living with him, all of which have been injured by mines.

This is part of the haunting war sculpture on a hillside overlooking Liege in Belgium. The skulls represent all people killed in world wars and was inaugurated by the Greek consul in Belgium on 11 November, 1988.
