The Military Macaw of Jalisco. These are indigenous to the area here, however poaching has drastically reduced their numbers. There are several programs now to help increase their numbers in the wild once again.

I do mean Little. Summer rains bring forth all kinds of cool critters. This tiny fellow (about the size of a thumbnail) was in my bathroom and I took him back outside, where he kindly obliged me by posing for a few pictures.
I seem to do a lot of early rising for these shots.
Leaving La Cruz De Huanacaxtle Marina at 3 am to get pictures like this is just amazing.
Fishing in Puerto Vallarta is always bound to bring some excitement. The spectacular ballet of 100lbs of fish 'dancing' on top of the water is a humbling sight to behold.
You have to get up mighty early to get pictures like this, but it's worth it.
Another perfect day on the water, another sailfish. We do let these amazing animals go, they are too beautiful.
