The gift shop does a lot of busiess, but this is also their only factory location.
Mom was talking with this fellow at the Cider Mill, so they joked around again when we got to the Ben & Jerry's factory tour.
This was in the North Beach Campground in Burlington, where we stayed last night
It rained most of the night, but was just cool and damp in the morning. There are a lot of islands on this lake, including some in the background.
We got to the Shaker Museum in Enfield, NH fairly late, so I got out Mom's walker. However, most of the museum was on the second floor, so she had to leave her walker at the bottom of the stairs and walk up. She skipped the third floor.
This is at Cohasset Beach in Massachusetts. The sand here was quite soft, the water was cold, but not as cold as Puget Sound (today anyway)
The local's are having trouble believing the weather, 82 F on Oct 5th? Boston should be colder by now
We had to mail some postcards and boxes and passed this Post Office while trying to find the Atlantic Ocean near Boston. Notice the Zip Code, 02025 - we're a bit far from my 98584!
We are standing in front the the "Boot Room", an entry way added later to keep the cold out of the main house (& wet, muddy boots)
Guess we were having too much fun, but we did actually make it to Massachusetts.
This was in the crew's quarters on the full scale barge at the museum
The Museum had some old style hats we could try on
Mom is in line for the "Maid of the Mist" boat ride up to the bottom of the falls. The Ride is VERY wet!
We took the "Maid of the Mist" up to the bottom of both the American and Canadian sides of the Falls
A 'You Were There' picture! We were on the American Falls at this point. I was thrilled to be able to get so close to the top of the falls.
Mom is picking up sand for a friend.
At the visitors center, Mom noticed a group with a tour guide and asked if we could join them. They were from Niagara College and were studying to become teachers. I think Mom enjoyed hanging out with the 'kids'.
There was a lot of walking involved with touring the Fort, but Mom really enjoyed herself
Mom decided not to join the rest of the group on the walk around the front, but wait for us here. There is a small fountain and pond in front of the entry
These are the front windows of the Living Room.
