A Swiss couple came to Vegas for help purchasing a vehicle. They wanted to travel around the Western US visiting our National Parks and do some rock climbing. Daniel & Anita came back to Vegas after 3 months to sell their van. They stayed with us for 4 days until we got the van sold for $200 less than they paid.
Out for a Walk
There is a severe alcohol problem in Russia. You can buy beer and vodka anywhere, in fact beer apparently isn't even classed as alcohol. You see people walking about with bottles of vodka even in the morning - there are loads of drunks. This lot were partying on a side street off Arbat. Not particularly rowdy but pretty slaughtered nevertheless. I love the grafitteed wall. The new SUV is a typical contrast of modern Russia - rich and poor.

In Utrecht I met an interesting guy. His name is Rob and he is a ship-builder. OK, ok, not real ships but models, but his models are able to sail! Rob is very accurate in details, he collects and filters tonns of material about historical ships. He keeps a workshop just upon a water, on one of many town canals and it fullfilled with ships and boats.
