It really pushed us on day 2 as we had to cover 19k's and more importantly climb over 1200 metres !

Chavin Underground Passageways

These are great and they´re still not sure why and what exactly they were used for. It´s like a labyrinth down there and I reckon they had wild Jaguars running about under here and the strongest warriors had to run the gauntlet through the labyrinth to try and escape... well that´s my theory anyway :)

The Lanzon

This is a replica of the original which is now in Lima, however, the monument faces East to face the Morning Sun and the light filters through to illuminate it (with the help of a few artificial lights these days!)
