Chinese knot tying

These bottles had zodiac designs and the workers write your name on the inside. My host parents bought me one that had my chinese and US name in it.

Temple of Heaven. On Chun Jie, people stand in line to make offerings to the gods at the temples. The temple closest to my Beijing apartment is Di Tan or the Temple of the Earth. This is the location of the offerings. People were standing in a line that was about 2-3 hours long.

Fair Prizes

Performance at the fair
