A local beer like drink made of corn and... well they dont make it that way anymore. It is good though. My friend bought a cup for my friend... and this bowl for me. I think she wanted me to have a lot.
Colpatria Tower is nice to view at night. Was one of the things I wanted badly to go and see. It changes colors at night. It is also the largest building in Bogotá. We unfortunately got there after the building closed so we couldnt go up and see Bogota.
So my travel mate and I are vegetarians. I had read that it is hard to be a vegetarian in Colombia. We were walking, getting lost to our destination. Also being diabetic, my blood sugar started dropping. I needed to eat. So here was a gigantic plate of chicken and quale eggs. It was good... and yewww at the same time.
Dorsoduro, Venice, Italy
I was Bogotá and asked my friend who lived there to take us somewhere. She took to the top of the a hill in Bogotá known as Cerro de Monserrate. On top of the hill is a monastery as well as gardens and paths to walk. I saw these flowers and felt compelled to capture them.
This palm frond altar was woven on the spot for the blessing of a new school for hearing impaired pre-schoolers in Gampaha, Sri Lanka. I thought it so beautiful. The Spirit of Nature.

Saw this man as I was walking around in Gulmarg.
Was taking a tour around Dal Lake. Saw this man fishing as the sun was peaking out after the rain. There background is blanketed by water lilies.
On Dal Lake when I saw this local harvesting from the land. Was a nice view. I was rather far away. I am glad I had a good zoom.

I was born in Cali, Colombia and never realized what I really had until I left it. I took for granted my gorgeous tropical weather, my language, my people, and the beauty of our eternal green pastures, and huge mountains...
