There was a large street lined with shops selling items to the believers as they entered White Horse temple
these gentlemen had a fire going to keep warm on this cold and rainy day. We all had to wear a few layers to stave off the cold.
White Horse Temple is the oldest buddhist monestary in China. The grounds are very peaceful.
The Indian monks who travelled to China to spread Buddhism are reported to be buried here.
Curved archways are good feng shui and are seen all over temples
White horse temple is an active temple where people still come to pray and monks still live.
The monks gave some of the kids orange slices which they enjoyed on this rainy day.
This wishing well had a lotus sculpture in it where you tried to drop your coins on top of the open flowers.
Incense is the communication path to the gods. Temples always smell really good and are drenched in smoke.
