As must ke bar must !
There is NOT any customer’s right protection in Iran. Therefore many traders, technicians, companies treat customers based on lies and more lies ! These young people suppose to be as plumber worked for only 7.5 hours during 3 days and charged more than 360,000 Tomans ($400) for repairing a broken water pipe in one of my relative in Tehran. After few days the water was still running thru the walls. My relative called them for more than a month to visit her place and repair the water pipes. Each time they brought different excuses or empty promises and still there is damp every where. Because there is not any law enforcement in protecting the poor customers, then almost every technician get advantage from the system and make a big hat for poor customers. The proverb, “As must ke bar must!” means that we can not blame America or any other countries for our bad fortune! Ramadan is the 9th month of the Islamic lunar calendar. During the blessed month of Ramadan, Muslims all over the world abstain from food, drink, and other physical needs during the daylight hours. As a time to purify the soul, refocus attention on God, and practice self-sacrifice, Ramadan is much more than just not eating and drinking. During Ramadan, every part of the body must be restrained. The tongue must be restrained from backbiting and gossip. The eyes must restrain themselves from looking at unlawful things. The hand must not touch or take anything that does not belong to it. The ears must refrain from listening to idle talk or obscene words. The feet must refrain from going to sinful places. In such a way, every part of the body observes the fast. Therefore, fasting is not merely physical, but is rather the total commitment of the person's body and soul to the spirit of the fast. Ramadan is a time to practice self-restraint; a time to cleanse the body and soul from impurities and re-focus one's self on the worship of God. So, what makes Iranian different..... ? Mr Ali Adhami, the board of directors in the Iran-Ecotour’s website says: "We guarantee well- equipped, selectively catered, safe and eco- friendly trips." http://www.ecotour-iran.com/about_new.htm On 10 August 2007, I took my mother and her friend on EcoTour’s one day trekking trip to Kondelus Village. Unfortunately the company hired a mini-bus driver who was not familiar with the road to Chaloos that has a series of dangerous winding sections and tunnels. As a result, the bus driver hit the wall of Tunnel No 6. As a result of the resulting huge impact, my mother fell over and was badly injured, she suffered shock of accident and injuries to her foot. My mother needed financial assistance for medical treatment, but Ecotours told us they would pay nothing towards the cost as all the expenses would be paid for by the driver’s Third Party Insurance. This contradicts what Ecotours have told passengers that whoever travels with them is insured for 1,000,000 tomans for hospital, doctors’ expenses. I feel that they contradict themselves because they try to escape from their responsibility toward my mother and myself and other passengers. Since 10/08/07, NOBODY from Iran-EcoTour Company (Dr Houman Jowkar, Dr Houshang Ziaie, Dr Bijan Farhang Darreh-shouri, Mr Ali Adhami), and tour leaders (Mr Mohamad Manzarnejad, Mrs Azadeh Jouhari, Mr Ali Islam) has contacted my mother by any means and asked her how she was! i.e.-Was she alive or dead ! Apparently one of the EcoTour's director cares more about Iranian Cheetah rather than take care of my old injured & traumatized mother!! I wonder what Iran-Ecotour's response would be if my mother had been a foreign tourist traveling with them? Do you think it would be different?

They were established 1998 to promote Iran's eco tourism attractions and to improve bio-cultural attitudes among people, both locally and internationally, and to pave the way for interested tourists They claim to have received approval from the three top Iranian Tourism Training Centres, the Iranian Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organisation and hold classes and training courses about nature and its value. Gogad Caravansary
This is a small section of huge place of Gogad Caravansary located in Mahallat in the province of Esfehun Nesfe Jahan. A 'caravan' in Persian means a group of travelers or merchants banded together and organized for mutual assistance and defense while traveling through unsettled or hostile country. Caravan trade is associated with the history of Iran and the Middle East. It is evident that all trade from one fertile area to another in this region had to be organized from the first, since long distances of desert trail separated settled parts and since local governments could not guarantee protection against tribes eager to loot and pillage. Such wares as jewels, spices, perfumes, dyes, metals, rare woods, ivory, oils, and textiles (chiefly silk) are associated with the trade. Camels were the main catties from Egypt and Iran to Mesopotamia and throughout the Arabian Peninsula. When you inquire the age of a caravansary in modern Iran, you are generally told that it dates from the time of Shah Abbas. This is a deceptive generalization and a term applied indiscriminately to all caravansaries built between the late 16th- 19th centuries AD. At present this beautiful historical place is rented to a private Iranian car company. The car company manage this place by converting it to a hotel.

My dedication to .....
I dedicate this piece of my image to 'Darwin's Nightmare', and people of Mwanza. It was directed by an Austrian highly intelligent filmmaker Hubert Sauper who has a deep understanding of the political, social and economical complexities of the realities he is filming. His film was nominated for an Academy Award. In Darwin's Nightmare, Saupert transports us to Tanzania, to the small town of Mwanza on the shores of Africa's biggest lake Victoria. We learn that the town sees a lot of business because of the massive exports of a fish called the Nile Perch. This species of fish was not known in that lake before the 1960s when it was introduced to the lake. A predatory species, the fish multiplied, but also caused the extinction of other species to the point that the lake could be considered a mono culture. The export of the fish is seemingly good for the development of Mwanza because it gives jobs to tousands of people who work in a processing plant. Two airplanes come every day from Russia to this little town to load in 500 tons of frozen, packaged fish fillets and fly them back to the restaurants and dining rooms of Europe. The daily cargo could feed the little town for a long time, but the villagers don't get to see the fish fillets because after the fish has gone through he modern processing plant, they cannot afford the fish. Although millions of people in the Tanzanian interior live on the brink of famine. Some of them will eat fried fish heads, which are processed in vast open-air pits infested with maggots and scavenging birds. Along the shores of the lake, homeless children fight over scraps of food and get high from the fumes of melting plastic-foam containers used to pack the fish. In the encampments where the fishermen live, AIDS is rampant and the afflicted walk back to their villages to die. Golab Ghiree in Kashan
On the edge of the great desert of Dasht-e-Kavir, in the heart of Iran, city of Kashan stands which is situated about 220 km south of Tehran, the capital of Iran. It is the place that my grand father comes from. Kashan Province is also famous for its rosewater (Rose-water called " Golab" in Farsi language) which is the product of Qamsar, Niyasar and Barzook, smaller towns of Kashan province, and the three main producers of rosewater for over 800 years. In spring, The Ceremony of Rosewater Distillation Ceremony, flower picking, and extraction of rosewater, starts when rose buds begin to open, usually mid May to early June. In this season, the whole town is filled with the aroma of roses and rosewater. The light pink color Mohmmadi rose used for this purpose is named after the Prophet Mohammad Peace Be Upon Him (pbuh), for its delightful fragrance. Each year is washing the Ka'ba of the world Muslims with the pure fragrant rose-water produced in Kashan. Distillation of rosewater is carried out immediately after picking and is performed with their own traditional huge copper pots which each one has a capacity of 120–150 liters. These copper pots works as a pressure cooker. Around 20 kg of rose petals is put into every pot that holds 80 liters of water, and the pots are closed airtight. Each pot is connected, airtight, with an aluminum tube to a pitcher. These pitchers are placed in a ditch of running cold water and are weighted with cast iron to keep them below the water, in a way that the top of each pitcher is about 20 cm above the water surface. Each pitcher can hold 30–40 liters of liquid. The process will take between 4-20 hours and the outcome is about 35 liters of rosewater. The slower the process of extraction, the better the quality of the rosewater. A fine rosewater is very fragrant and tastes a little bitter. Every year from, 17th to 30th of May, the festival of rose and rosewater is held in the towns of Qamsar, Niyasar and Barzook.

Which way should I go ?
Here in Tehran the capital of Iran, sometimes would be difficult to choose where you would like to go. The reason is, there are so many attractions all around that with having a limited time, almost would be very difficult to choose ! Here I had a choice between Sa'di Street, Pole Choubi street, Nofel Loshato street, Babi Sandz Street, Engelab Street, Ferdosi Square. Then I guess I chose the Ferdosi Square. Please don't ask me why ?

What is wrong here ?!
The magnificent palace complex at Persepolis (Takhte Jamshid) was founded by Darius the Great around 518 B.C. the wealth of the Persian empire was evident in all aspects of its construction. The splendor of Persepolis, however, was short-lived; the palaces were looted and burned by Alexander the Great in 331-330 B.C. The magnificent ruins of Persepolis lie at the foot of Kouh-e Rahmat, or "Mountain of Mercy," in the plain of Marv Dasht about 850 kilometers south of the present capital city of Tehran and about 50 kilometers north of Shiraz. The exact date of the founding of Persepolis is not known. It is assumed that Darius I began work on the platform and its structures between 518 and 516 B.C., visualizing Persepolis as a show place and the seat of his vast Achaemenian Empire. He proudly proclaimed his achievement; there is an excavated foundation inscription that reads, "And Ahuramazda was of such a mind, together with all the other gods, that this fortress (should) be built. And (so) I built it. And I built it secure and beautiful and adequate, just as I was intending to." . . , and THEN after so many years passed, in our modern history few countries mainly Western Countries plundered these priceless Historical Treasures and put them in their museums or sold to rich collectors!!!!??? 50,000 Rials Bank Note (front)
The 50,000 Rials or 5,000 Tomans is a new bill that came in the hand of people few months ago. In the front bill has picture of the Ayatollah Khomeini and in it's back has Iran map outline with atomic symbol of electrons in orbit symbol. The watermark is Ayatollah Khomeini. Norooz - Eid-e Shoma Mubarak
Norooz - Eid-e Shoma Mubarak In harmony with the rebirth of nature, the Iranian New Year Celebration, or NOROOZ, always begins on the first day of spring. Norooz ceremonies are symbolic representations of two ancient concepts - the End and the Rebirth; or Good and Evil. A few weeks before the New Year, Iranians clean and rearrange their homes. They make new clothes, bake pastries and germinate seeds as sign of renewal. The ceremonial cloth is set up in each household. Troubadours, referred to as Haji Firuz, disguise themselves with makeup and wear brightly colored outfits of satin. These Haji Firuz, singing and dancing, parade as a carnival through the streets with tambourines, kettle drums, and trumpets to spread good cheer and the news of the coming new year. The origins of Norooz are unknown, but they go back several thousand years predating the Achaemenian Dynasty. The ancient Iranians had a festival called "Farvardgan" which lasted ten days, and took place at the end of the solar year. It appears that this was a festival of sorrow and mourning, signifying the end of life while the festival of Norooz, at the beginning of spring signified rebirth, and was a time of great joy and celebration. ============================ I CONGRATULATE TO ALL IRANIAN PEOPLE ANYWHERE AROUND THIS MOTHER EARTH.
