Gardner Mass. is where a friend of mine lives. I stayed with him for a week before flying home to Vegas. Settled in 1764, Gardner came a furniture center for New England.
Gardner is the self described 'Chair City' of America. With abundant hardwood trees and streams around Gardner, it became a furniture center in the 1800s. At its peak Gardner had over 40 furniture factories. Standard Chair of Gardner, owned by my friend, is the last one still in business.
