A good advice: do not take your dog to amazon rainforest if you have to walk too much (at least if you want to carry him all the way back like Marco with Fito!!)
This was the bathroom in my jungle house.. no walls... just trees.... Luckily the closest neighbour was over 2km away!
This was a house I lived in for a year, repairing cyclone damage and doing minor renovations in exchange for REALLY cheap rent! It was right on the edge of world heritage listed rainforest in El Arish. It had solar power, gravity fed crystal clear spring water, and a bathroom with no walls! 100 meters walk from the back door was a waterfall and a swimming hole that went bright blue in the midday sun and in front of the house was a small orchard full of exotic fruits such as Lychee, Rambutan, Grumichama, Brazil Cherry, Jaboticaba, Star Apples, Black Sapote, Cocoa, Miracle Fruit, Mangosteen.. the list goes on! There were also a few resident snakes, a giant monitor lizard that would hang out in the spare room and an abundance of huge noisy insects...... good times ;-)
This was the driveway to my house in the jungle.... During the wet season, my car couldn't make it up to the house... so I ended up buying a four wheel drive...
Daintree
don't know if that is what these things are called... but god-damn are they ever itch when they bite you.
Gian swamp gum, towering into the clouds above. this one is in the 95-98 metre range
The Surrounding growth on this Mountain was breathtaking and had lush grenery. This amazing old tree caught my eye. It was a rainy day with mist and fog in the area, it added to the magical atmosphere.
