The restaurant overlooks the River Cher. We always get a window seat. The food is good; the service is good; the view is spectacular.
The boat trips are fun. It's very slow because he uses a pole to push the boat through the swamp (marais) but that's good because it gives you time to get lots of pictures.
The Port-de-Plaisance has large sculptures. I photographed two from the roof of the castle. One was [i]La Carpe Royale[/i] by Jean-Marc Bourasseau (2002 and the other Mémoire de Sable by Jean-Claude LAMBERT (1996) which is the prow of a Viking Longship carved in Sequoia.
The Tourist Office is behind the church and the walk starts there and continues along the cliffs beside the river.
I was doing titles for a DVD and thought this would be a great watercolor. I may get around to painting it eventually.
These people were floating past our parking place when we stopped for dinner. They looked like they were having a grand time.
