A tomb complex of Nabataeans, the nomadic people who settled in Petra around the first century BC. After their settlement Petra rapidly grew as a trading city. . They made lots of money from caravans.

Saladin's Castle

The castle was built by the Kurdish Muslim leader Saladin, properly Salah al-Dīn Yusuf ibn Ayyub. It is located about 10km from Latakia.
