This serirs of over hunderd sphinx-es line the front of the Loxor Temple
It was a cool morning and there was a very gentle breeze blowing over the Nile. We were taking in the quietitude befor the fierce sun of the day made things uncomfortable.
Difficult to concieve that this whole Temple is a reconstruction of the actual Temple which went down under the Aswan High Dam
I got the shot all of a sudden ..... Here were 2 pairs of ladies - obviously from distant backgrounds - walking the same street...

Had no Idea that this was by no means the only Sphinx in accient Egypt. There are perhaps a thousand others along the Nile - from Luxor to Aswan. But then, this is by far the largest - Gigantic !!!
Had heard and read about it ..... still it was simply awesome when we stood befor it.
