Ratho in Edinburgh is great for climbing... this was an absolute extension of fabulous!
First time climbing for Keith - what an absolute expert :)
Yep, the dots in the background is us!!
A wee revision for the kids on where Cambodia and other countries were. Of course, they all know where the UK is now :)
The kids thought it was absolutely hilarious that I was cycling around the playground. Laugh, laugh, laugh.
After amazing work by Pip and Andy, the kids (yep, all 1100 of them) are now able to have filtered water at school. Think of it next time you go to the water dispenser/coffee machine and smile at the wonderful contribution :)
The Asia welcome, with smiles and very much mutual respect. Aren't these guys just gorgeous? I hope they make you smile...
Paulin, Craig and Lexsi - our hosts at Enjoy Villa in Siem Reap. These guys were amazing and hey, what we would have given to put the wee man in our backpacks and taken him back to the UK :)
Thought I'd best put a picture of me in, showing that I have actually been teaching!!!
Decorating the classroom for the high school kids. Catherine, Harri, Rick and Keith. The kids absolutely loved it. For me, it ignited a sparkle in their eyes, which was an overwhelming joy.
With so much energy, I had to introduce the leap frog game. This is one of many, many, many attempts. The boys had a great time and thought it was absolutely hysterical when I jumped over their backs. The smiles were rewarding and the exercise invigorating. We had a productive afternoon this day!
The wee guy coming through the window didn't realise that I was about to take a picture of the class. Seconds before, I had been writing on the blackboard so he thought he could sneak in. Timing didn't pay off too well!!! This class were fantastically in tune. We learned the action song: heads, shoulders, knees and toes and the kids were able to recite it to me (without prompts) after only 10 attempts. The physical movement was amazing for them too. Laugh, goodness, my incontinence knickers were nearly used!! Superb
Friday afternoon and still the high school kids are eager to learn. Fantastic.
...for that exact moment! The kids are intrigued at everything I do. True enquisativeness. Suits my phsyche so much :)
When word got around that Pamela wanted to take a picture of the primary school kids, they all came running - and, of course, smiling as they so always do. I had a tear in my eye when they did this. To find me in the picture, take a look in the middle and search for the token foreigner at the back!!
