There are no tides on the great lakes, but waves caused by the wind and changes in water levels caused by storm pressures
JL at the big lake. This is either the biggest or second biggest fresh water lake in the world.

This was school from Silva, ND from early 1900s, a little newer than some of the other Pioneer towns we've been visiting.
There are two posts at the entry to the Rugby Museum, they were built from stones from each of the 50 states in the US.

This was on Hwy 83 North of Pierre, South Dakota. We were surprised how many sunflower fields there were in South and North Dakota
One of the exhibits in the museum was a mechanical cow you could 'milk'. The display measured how many ounces of milk you got vs a milking machine.
