These are the dorms. My room's on the top floor at the far end.
At 9:30 the music plays and students go to the square to exercise. Our students are in a special English program, so they don't have to go.

Classes for 3rd year students are held in this building and this students attend school during the summer in preparation for the very difficult college entrance exam.

While visiting a school in the Kenyan bush all the children sang and clapped loudly for us in their classroom. All except this little one who was so tired she slept right through the excitement, maybe from having to walk miles to fetch water or tend her goats before school. Almost broke my heart.

Recess time at 10am for the school children age 7 to 10 at a remote village accessible only by the river.
Every morning the students participate in a drill where they run vigorously around the field in intricate formation, then salute the flag as it is raised on the flagpole.
Since the building was locked, I had to take this through the glass, which wasn't very clean. Hope you can get an idea what it was like to study here.
Notice the board walks also. Most towns or communities had only a one room school, all grades (1 - 8) were in the same classroom.
