This is a wide, flat beach - the only one where cars are allowed to drive and park on the beach.

This road was clear last night. The rocks and sand were washed up by storm waves.

Mom remembers petting a brown pelican on Sterns Wharf once, but when we visited, the birds were more interested in staying on the beach
This is where Mission Creek empties into the bay in Santa Barbara.
The surfer's also worked the waves near the marina, even though it was quite rocky.
It was still a bit cool, but that didn't seem to stop folks who like to surf. The water in CA is always cool, so they have to wear wet suits anyway.
Homes here are mostly over $1M each, even small ones.

This was from our campsite just off of Hwy 1, a few miles south of Oxnard.
This was in Santa Monica, CA - one of the few times we've seen surfers actually surfing

The underside of this bridge was also painted. It only had an 8' clearance however, so we had to park on the other side and walk under Hwy 1.
Mom finally got a chance to have another campfire. We roasted little hot dogs and marshmellows, quite good actually.
It rained last night and was still raining this morning when Mom decided to check out the beach.
We both enjoyed just sitting here and watching the waves
