This is actually part of the Chico River, a small dam at the far end helps hold up the water in an enclosed 'pool' with a concrete floor
This is just below the old bridge over the Bear River. There is a large dam upstream from this now, but they are releasing a lot of water, probably to make room for the spring snow melt.
North of Tirana
This is a view of the Colorado River from the Eastern Wetlands area. It was much, much larger river before the Laguna Dam was built and so much water removed for irrigation.
The Group Campsite at Rio Grande Village has easy access to the river for launching or retrieving boats.

The picture doesn't show how windy it was when I took this shot. We drove the RV over this bridge shortly after taking the picture, with a strong crosswind.
