A 1922 Eli Bridge Co. Ferris Wheel was assembled in 9 days to serve as the centerpiece for the Summer 07 display. Yellow dwarf sunflowers & hydrangeas add color to the display.
The theme for the summer diaplay is to honor the history of Route 66. A facsimile of a Saguaro cactus is used as real Saguaro are a protected species.
A 1962 Corvette is part of the Route 66 display. Impatients and Teddy Bear cholla are around the Corvette.

Early Sunday morning staff are putting out fresh roses.
A staff of 12 are employed to keep the flowers fresh.

The Frontier Hotel was the second hotel to be built on the Strip. Open in 1942 as Last Frontier and renaned the 'New Frontier Hotel' in '55.

The Palazzo, Venetian's Hotel newest tower. Palazzo will be 50 stories high, with over 3,000 luxury suites. Due to open 2008.

Looking north, the outdoor gondolas operate when weather permits. Closed the day we were there, high winds. $12.50 per person.

Taken inside the Tao nightclub. You can go in during the day for free. I am a bit too old and poor for Tao when it is cranking.
Prince is currently performing at the Rio Hotel. Prince's symbol and 3121, the name of one of his popular albums is displayed on the side of the hotel, advertising on a giant scale.
