A weekend getaway from the hustle-bustle of the city, Puerto Galera is just 3hrs away from Manila. Travel by bus from Taft Avenue Terminal in Manila (Tritran or Jam Bus Line) to Batangas Pier. The first bus usually leaves around 6:00 AM. The fare is around P100, depending on whether it is a regular bus or an air-conditioned bus. At Batangas Pier, there is a wide choice of ferries going to Puerto Galera. The first departure is around 7:30 AM and the last ferry leaves at about 4:00 PM. Ferry fare is around P100. Rooms for rent is around P1,500 per night.
