At Batu Caves

Stalactite and stalagmite formations.
"Straw" and stalactite formations. Straw formations are hollow, allowing water to drip through and deposit small amounts of calcium to the tips.
These mineral formations are commonly referred to as "bacon" due to their ripply appearance.
The Aillwee Cave - bone remains from a hibernating bear found in the cave have been carbon dated and suggested to be over 100 yrs old, as the bears have bee extinct for that period.
