This is Mom just as she started the Cave tour, still not sure she wants to go through the tour.
There are 363 steps on this tour, somehow she actually made it through all of them!
There are quite a few shops in Tombstone nowdays. We visited a few. I liked the wood sidewalks, gave it an authentic feel.
Now really, how often do you get to ride in a real stagecoach?
This is in the carriage area just outside the OK Corral.
As we approached the AZ border, we drove past large, dry lakebeds. Mom tried to collect sand, but said the bed was hard like concrete, it only looked like sand.
There are several tourist shops along I-10 in New Mexico. Mom and I decided to give this one a look, Mom picked up post cards of course.
The Museum has a mock-up of part of the Space Shuttle interior, which Mom enjoyed playing with.
Mom climbed onto the sand. This section of the dunes are moving slowly enough that some plants can survive.
The State of New Mexico set up a Farm & Ranch Museum in Las Cruces, which we visited.

Mom actually went out on the trail a bit and tried to find something interesting.
The Group campsite has fairly easy access to the Rio Grande River, which suited Mom just fine.
The fossil exhibit is in the structure on the right. The plastic was too scratched to be able to see much however.
Mom is demonstrating just how big some of these cactus plants grow.
This is a Huisache Tree at Seminole SP. The visitor's center has several examples of local plants, all nicely labeled.
Virginia Shahan owns the ranch & Alamo Village site, which is on her ranch. She still enjoys visiting the store and meeting guests.
The town marshalls helped rescue Mom from being stranded by a bent wheel (thanks to my bad driving).
Always a flirt, that one!
Becky bought Mom a CD from this vendor.
John was our tour guide & pilot during a night cruise on the San Antonio River.
Becky wanted to make sure we did San Antonio properly, so took us to the Riverwalk after dark.
Becky took us to the Mi Tierra Cafe for dinner.
Like mother, like daughter?
