The food at Bohol Bee Farm Resort and Restaurant is one of the best cusine experiences you could have on the Island of Bohol. The whole farm is fully organic and all the foods cooked at the restaurant are grown or farmed there. You can take a tour of the farm and learn about how it works there. They even make thier own crafts from the plants around to help reduce any waste.

Tarsiers are one world's smallest primate. They are rather cute and have intersting bulging eyes. Tarsiers are also one of the main attractions of Bohol Island. These were taken at one of the Tarsier Sanctuaries on the way to Chocolate Hills.

Now this is my first HDR photo of the famous Chocolate Hills, one of the most popular tourist attractions of Bohol Island. These hills have been around for a long time, and there is knowledge of how they got there.
It is no wonder why Bohol is one of the main tourist spots in Philippines. There is so much to see there. These are some of the rice fields in Butuan on the way to the famed Chocolate Hills.
My friend and woke up early to catch the ferry to Bohol after reading that it left at 8:00 AM from Maasin to Ubay (northern Bohol). We were waiting for the ticket office to open so we took some photos of the pier in the early morning. Later we found out the information I read was wrong. The ferry leaves at 7:30 PM. We got good photos of the pier though.
After find out in Maasin that we had a whole day to kill because our ferry to Bohol was not going to leave for another 12 hours we decided to take a hike to Hanginan, which is a small town used as a pilgramage to a church. This is me really tired going up the mountain.
Philippines is not known for it's amazing cuisine, but there is some good food to be had there. We had to have some breakfast before heading to the pier. This pancit and vinigared ampalaya that we had at a side street stall.
These are the final steps up through the small town of Hanginan to the church known as Sr. San Francisco Javier Church.
Arriving in the town of Hanginan, a town on the top of a mountainous area usually visited as a pilgramage, this boy saw an American and took the opportunity to beg.
On my way to Abuyog to a water spring the view was beautiful. This was a contradiction to the fact that I was told that Leyte was not worth visiting. It was quite the opposite. These colorful palm trees caught my attention.

Philippines is not known for it's amazing cuisine, but there is some good food to be had there. This is a dish called a tortang talong. It is an eggplant omolette. My friend and travel mate made this for me while staying at a beach house in MacArthur.
I was told that there was not much to do in MacArthur. People were right, but that is exactly what I wanted to do. I relaxed and walked the beach. A nice beach with views like this fishing boat.
On the beach there are were alot of people who would just sit and relax and just enjoy the day. I meet some locals on the beach of MacArthur who invited me to come and eat with them. We enjoyed some tuba (coconut wine), some food, and some laughs. Here is one of my new friends, "Funny Paniki"
Tuba. Tuba is a coconut wine, equivalent to Mmoonshine in the USA. It is not usually found in lage cities but small villages instead. A lot of the local men spend most of thier day drinking tuba. It is cheap to make since there are so many coconuts around. This is a one of the jugs that was being consumed during the sit down with some random locals I came across on the beach.

In Philippines as well as other countries, soccer is a different sport than the USA. Soccer is more like volleyball, but played with feet and a small ball. Usually played with a net, these kids on the beach of MacArthur were playing soccer without a net.
