On a walk at Farewell Spit (most northern point of the South Island)
A large fern plant in NZ grows from these tiny curled up spirals. The image is all over the country (clothing, jewelry, etc.). The Maoris see it as a symbol of new beginnings, growth, etc. since the younger fern (the inside) is protected by the older fern (the outside) until it is mature.
The captain dubnked the front of the boat right under the water. Where were we standing? On the front of the boat.
Seals are the only creatures that can make granite look comfortable.
Apparently named after the Australian rugby team. The captain showered us a little under these falls.
...I promise its around the bend, down there somewhere.
Nasty little birds that eat your car
We've decided that we need to start a new trend of jumping for joy (or something like that) at all our hot spot tourist destinations. Maybe we can sell all our photos to some travel company when we return for millions of dollars and be able to live comfortably for the rest of our lives. We think its a good idea
