A breakfast fit for a Queen... with a very big appetite! Huh.. okay Anouk, I admit it, I ate most of it!
Nathan samples the mineral spring water of the Karolinin Spring - lovely stuff if you like overflow from a septic system!
A beautiful spa hotel in the town of Marianske Lazne - unfortunately this was the one that we couldn't afford!
Prague's scenic Vltava River with the many stone bridges.
The Gothic glory of Prague, coming off Charles Bridge looking towards Prague Castle
Another dynamic adventure put together by Lachy comes to an against-the-odds triumph!
Anouk and I feeeling pretty impressed with ourselves after completing a huge final day cycling and clocking up 122km. In total, the trip over seven days cycled 591km to complete a circuit in North-Western Jutland.
A fortunate roadside find proves to be a saving grace for our cycle-soft backsides. The Orange Carpet proves the difference between stoically riding on, or curling up like a baby and refusing to go on!
Anouk bites into a tasty lunch consisting of a cracker topped with huge chunk of home-smoked salmon - no teasing the tummy with those dainty thin slivers of salmon here in Denmark!
A tailwind made for lazy cyclers... now, if only we can stay on that narrow path ahead and not be blown into the bushes.
Aah, I had to stick a landscape in somewhere, so here it is.
A raging wind greets us during our coastal leg - fortunately it's a tailwind and we actually get a chance to experience cycling uphill without pedalling.
The cycle tourers find themselves immersed in an unexpected landscape - cycling on gravel cycle paths past thatched roof summer houses hidden admist the undulating grassy dunes next to the coast.
Second day in and the weather is... mmm... Danish - lots of rain and wind! Not to worry, nothing a garbage bag can't fix, mixed with a bit of aussie fortitude and unbridled optimism (it's just a scud!).
Lachy takes us on a late afternoon tour of Denmark's oldest village.
Anouk admires some fine Danish real estate - 500 years and still standing.
Jette and Anouk proudly celebrate day one of the Danish West Coast Cycle Tour - 72km with the only casualty being a sore bum (hence the beer panacea!)
Our bottle of wine suffers a quick demise at Barcelona Airport due to restrictions on taking liqiuds on planes. The advice from the young Spanish İnformation Officer... "Drink it now, you have time!"
Fulfilling it's potential as Europe's favourite place for a... swim!?
Nate and Anouk hang at a stylish square in Barcelona.
Anouk receives a suntan AND a therapeutic massage by lying on the pebbly gravel of the Banyuls beach.
The final quarter of the GR10 finishes on the Mediterranean in the seaside town of Banyuls sur Mer - a quaint and relaxing place celebrate what is a long, tough walk.
Entering into the vineyard region of the GR10, these strange half denuded trees began appearing - the bark being the source of the original corks.
One of the joys of the GR10 was the presence of bush tucker. Here it is wild cherry trees in fruit, and Anouk and İ spent a lot of time grazing these trees for their small and juicy fruit.
Summer flowers along the path.
