Marrakesh catnap in mosaic covered tomb

Cats rule in Morocco, prowling and napping wherever they please. This cat chose to sleep in one of the crypt rooms covered in elaborate, colorful mosaics at the Sadian Tombs in Marrakesh.

Because Islam doesn't allow icons, almost every surface at mosques and tombs is covered in elaborate patterns. This carved wall, with the small part coated in white, created a beautiful texture and warmth at the Sadian Tombs in Marrakesh, Morocco.

Ceiling inside Canterbury Cathedral
