Steve C, Robbie the Robot's erstwhile travelling companion, arrives in Moscow and ends his first day of travel right in the middle of Red Square. While trying to keep up with Robbie, Steve has been carrying what seems like a tonne of lead in his backpack. Steve stops at St Basil's Cathederal to catch his breath and admire the view. Sadly, the builders of this eye-popping extravaganza had theirs removed shortly after completion, just so they wouldn't do it again. Steve surmises that it must have been a payment dispute.
Robbie the Robot arrives in Russia and immediately heads to Red Square, Moscow to check out the volleyball scene. Plenty of room to set up nets, and plenty of people from all round the world, but sadly no volleyball game in sight. Still, there's always Lenin's Tomb to admire. Lenin was a star player in the original Soviet volleyball team until the onset of ill health meant he could no longer be an active participant. He is now mumified in state underneath a few hundred tons of red granite. Robbie wonders if it was worth opting out of the team after all.
Moscow is a cold place, but there's nothing like a few shots of Russian vodka to get the blood running!
