In my recent visit to paris, I saw so many La Miserables around this city.
The Palace at Versailles is displaying art from, of all people, Jeff Koons. This shot is taken in the Hall of Mirrors. It's a photo within a photo. (BTW, this is my first upload, so I don't know what resolutions work well here.)
Most visited monument in the world.
A place to mingle with painters, artists and sculptures of all times.
Louvre Museum is always fascinates everyone, including myself which I spent 6 hours to tour around the place.
When I visited Paris last month for the first time, Ive noticed that big ads dominate the walls of METRO - the railway system of the city of lights! In this particular ad, I was not really sure of what the image is all about without reading the French phrase below. It was a clever shot that promotes a French region, Aquitaine which is located in the southwestern side of France. This region is famous for its brand of wine such as Armagnac, Bordeaux (Claret in the UK) and Bergerac. This is an iconic urban element especially for Chinese people as their main public transport in the country. It is a surprise for me when I saw this in an European city. It is the transport for sustainable urban communities: eco-environmentally friendly carbon-free transport which is visibly found in the high streets of Paris. The French government introduced this bike transity system known as "Velib" last year (2007) as a new self-service to allow people (including tourists) to to pick up and drop off bikes throughout the city at 1,451 locations and 20,600 bikes.
The view of Paris from the upper reaches of Sacre Coure in Paris
This is the main arch downstairs in Saint Chappelle. Most photos of Saint Chappelle are of the magnificent stained glass windows in the upper room, but the lines, color, and contrast of this area really impressed me
