In this photo you can see many people relaxing in the shade of the Square du Vert Galant, where many students and couples all go to lay back and enjoy the peaceful surroundings and listen to the River Seine which surrounds the square.

This fountain found in the Square Jean XXIII is often known by the name of the Fountain of the Virgin, which was designed in 1845 by the architect Vigouroux, the gothic style fitting in perfectly with the nearby Notre Dame cathedral.
The Square Jean XXIII provides many benches for people to sit at and relax to enjoy the views as well as the architecture of the Notre Dame cathedral such as the Rose Window which can be seen in this photo.
