Not to mention that I got lost along the way and had to hitch-hike back to where the rest of my party was waiting. !!! A cute little couple eating apples in their camper-van gave me a slice of apples after the run and drove me back to the girls. (How embarrasing!)

Volcanic Ash Covers Our Bodies

Why were we in this hot pool covering ourselves with volcanic ash?! Because a nude guy told us to! What more reasoning do you need?! Luckily, he couldn't persuade us to 'disrobe' no matter how many times he asked!

Us being Kiwi Birds

We tried to take this picture a few times in between being stopped by a guy asking if we had car problems and then again by a police car asking if we needed help. Very friendly people. "Nope! Just us crazy Americans wanting to make fools of ourselves next to your Kiwi-bird sign!"
