Here are some red clay tiles on top of a building on the top of the hill in Cerro de Monserrate. My friend took this here after asking to take me to a place she likes to go.
My friend took us to the top of Cerro De Monserrate and visited this church inside. The architecture was pretty modern.
My beautiful and shy friend in Bogotá. Sorry guys she is taken.
A local beer like drink made of corn and... well they dont make it that way anymore. It is good though. My friend bought a cup for my friend... and this bowl for me. I think she wanted me to have a lot.
Colpatria Tower is nice to view at night. Was one of the things I wanted badly to go and see. It changes colors at night. It is also the largest building in Bogotá. We unfortunately got there after the building closed so we couldnt go up and see Bogota.
Walking through the church inside of Cerro De Monserrate there was a room where a lot had expressed their thanks. Here is part of that wall.
We tried so hard after many wrong turns and miscommunications to get the Plaza Bolivar and when we got there, EVERYWHERE in Plaza Bolivar were pigeons. Lots of them. This kid, and many others were feeding them.
So my travel mate and I are vegetarians. I had read that it is hard to be a vegetarian in Colombia. We were walking, getting lost to our destination. Also being diabetic, my blood sugar started dropping. I needed to eat. So here was a gigantic plate of chicken and quale eggs. It was good... and yewww at the same time.
After walking and getting lost all the around in Bogota we finally came to the destination we were trying to get to. And it was worth it. Look at this photo.
We walked all to find a Bolívar Plaza and finally got there. We walked some time away from there. Here we sat on the steps and also took a photo of this really nice church and the crowd around it.
We walked all day in Bogota and needed some nourishment. This was a great source of nourishment, patacones. A deep fried or baked flattened plantain. It is good.
We were walking toward Candeleria area of Bogota and I saw this condemned building. I had to take the photo of all the details.
Yeah these fried/baked Plantains were amazing. First meal in Colombia was this appetizer.
So I have a place in my heart of beer. This is one of the better stouts I have had while traveling. (No I have not been to Ireland or Europe) The Bogota Beer Company became one of my favorite places while my stay in Bogota.
I was Bogotá and asked my friend who lived there to take us somewhere. She took to the top of the a hill in Bogotá known as Cerro de Monserrate. On top of the hill is a monastery as well as gardens and paths to walk. I saw these flowers and felt compelled to capture them.
