I live in a remote area, so I do not schedule assignments unless I get PAD. Therefore, I am only called when I am needed very badly. That is the way I like it. It's my niche! When a MSC is in need, I am truly ready, indeed. I can be on the road to anywhere in the world in less than 48 hours. I return all calls within 4 business hours, and I have never flaked an assignment. I have been a professional shopper since March 2012.
I sold my Avalon and bought a Honda Odyssey. I now have my bed with me when I travel around the US.
You can see why...;)
Two lads from the UK came to Vegas for help buying a vehicle. They wanted a 4 wheel drive Suburban. They needed something that would go off road and still big enough to sleep in it. We found a Suburban for just over $3K, got it insured, got plates on it and they left Vegas that same day. It usually takes 2-4 days, but with luck it can be done in one day.
An Aussie couple came to Vegas for help buying a van with stow & go seats. It took a few days but we found one that they thought would get them to New York and retain its value. I will know in 3 months. Taken in July.
Steve & Sarah are from Melbourne and came to Las Vegas for help buying a van. They bought it for $3K in Oct. and sold it for $2,700 in Feb. Had some repair and Steve hit a deer, but overall a good experience touring the US for 4 months.
1931 Duesnberg J Holbrook Sedan. My friend Chris came back from Thailand and we spent an hour or so walking the car collection at The Quad, the old Imperial Palace.
1925 Locomobile Model 48. It was custom built for Edward Stotesbury of Philadelphia and is one of a kind. Edward Stotesbury was a business partner of JP Morgan and one of the richest men in the US at the time.
1962 Lincoln Continental Towne Limousine. This car was used by President John F. Kennedy and Vice President LB Johnson. Many famous people rode in this car as well. Prince Rainer & Princess Grace from Monaco, the Henry Ford family are just several mentioned on the display board.
1933 Packard 1001 Coupe Roadster. 1933 was the only year this style roadster was built.
