Two lads from the UK came to Vegas for help buying a vehicle. They wanted a 4 wheel drive Suburban. They needed something that would go off road and still big enough to sleep in it. We found a Suburban for just over $3K, got it insured, got plates on it and they left Vegas that same day. It usually takes 2-4 days, but with luck it can be done in one day.
An Aussie couple came to Vegas for help buying a van with stow & go seats. It took a few days but we found one that they thought would get them to New York and retain its value. I will know in 3 months. Taken in July.
1931 Duesnberg J Holbrook Sedan. My friend Chris came back from Thailand and we spent an hour or so walking the car collection at The Quad, the old Imperial Palace.
1925 Locomobile Model 48. It was custom built for Edward Stotesbury of Philadelphia and is one of a kind. Edward Stotesbury was a business partner of JP Morgan and one of the richest men in the US at the time.
1962 Lincoln Continental Towne Limousine. This car was used by President John F. Kennedy and Vice President LB Johnson. Many famous people rode in this car as well. Prince Rainer & Princess Grace from Monaco, the Henry Ford family are just several mentioned on the display board.
1933 Packard 1001 Coupe Roadster. 1933 was the only year this style roadster was built.
1994 Jaguar XJ 220. This car was the fastest production at the time with a top speed of 217mph.
1963 Corvette. Only year they featured the split window design.
1948 Cadillac Series 62 Saoutchik Cabriolet . After WWII, French designer Jaques Saoutchik built 2 custom Cadillacs for the US market. This 1948 convertible coupe is probably the most beautiful Cadillac ever built.
1932 Rolls Royce Phantom II Kellner Salamanca.
1926 McFarian model 145 TV- Six 7 passenger Touring Car. This car was once owned by Jack Dempsey, the heavyweight champion of the world from 1919-26.
1919 Pierce Arrow Model 66 A-4 Touring car. It was custom built for Roscoe 'Fatty' Arbuckle. He was a famous movie star in the silent film era. He paid $32K for the car making it the most expensive car in the world in1919.
'Fatty' Arbuckle wanted his Pierce Arrow to reflect his eccentric personality. All white tires and the blue/purple color made sure his car stood out in Hollywood.
1925 Rolls Royce Phantom I Barker Torpedo Tourer. This car was ordered by the Maharaja of Kotah to servre as his 'Tiger car'. The Maharaja like to take guests of his estate tiger hunting.
A machine gun towed behind the touring car. hardly seems sporting to 'hunt' tigers with a machine gun!
