Built in 1586 and completed in 1606, this Roman Catholic church is a testament to Spain's supremacy over the island for over 400 years. It is enclosed within the walled city of Intramuros.
The largest Catholic church in the world. (Not by chance - new Catholic churches that are built MUST be smaller than this one, by law.) Apparently Simon Peter is buried under this church, but after hearing the story behind it I reckon it could be anyone's bones that they've got under there...
