The statue stands outside Exeter Cathedral.
Vixen Torr, Dartmoor Devon. Shrouded in local legends involving witches and prices with invisible cloaks. This photo proves that sometimes travelling is not in seeking new landscapes - just having new eyes.
When they release the pressure it is quite loud (ear splitting). Do yu think that people who work on railways, are on the right track?
Here they are pouring the water into the tank.
There's a choice of things the tourist can do here. There's the boat train where the steam train takes you from Paignton to Dartmouth where you can catch a boat. This costs £18. There's also the round Robin which is the same trip but with a bus journey thrown in for good measure.
During the 1970's there used to be a cfe where this building now stands. I remember the black labridor the owner used to have. He used to get under the tables and I'd sneakily feed him. The cafe was pulled down in the mid 1980's and replaced by the tower block.
There's only one cafe on Sheldon, no library or cash point machine.
In the 70's this used to be the seafront swimming pool, then it was turned into a paddling pool. It's now just an empty hole. The council aren't sure what to do with this now the health and safety laws have come in.
This is a great place to watch the sunsets. The beach doesn't have a name, they could name it after the Hook family who are well known.
There's no charge to get on at the moment. There's a hall which has all the usual arcade games on, the public toilets don't have toilet roll, leaving the tourist feeling a bit 'flushed'.
The floors quite slippery with wet sand and its very echowy.
This tunnle was used by smugglars in Sheldon, a small village next door to Teignmouth, South Devon UK. It leads out onto a concealed beach and is next to an old lime kiln.
