Hike over fallen rocks to see Tasman Glacier
Gate to hike just up the road from our bach
We spent our very first day hiking Mount Arbel. It a very technical hike, but that made it even more fun.
We climbed for about an hour and a half, and this was what we got for our trouble. I'd call it a win!
After about 25 minute of hiking, we came out into a clearing, and we were on the same level as the citadel!
About 3/4 of the way through our hike.
The Doubs river, which runs through Besancon.
Interior of the chapel near our picnic site.
I asked my friend to hold my camera while I took off my jacket, and got this gem out of the deal...
Citadel from below - the beginning of our hike!
This is the group that participated in the hike - I think it is about a third of the international students here this semester, plus five or six French students who are members of the ESN (Erasmus Student Network) club. I made it easy for you - I'm in the front holding the right side of the flag! (My friends Claudia (from Taiwan) and Gabrielle (from South Korea) are on either side of me.
