One of the original places to stay on Victory Hill.
There are two alleys off Pham Ngu Lao St. Many small hotels and restaurants here. I usually walk the alleys and see who has a room under $10/nite.
Real Estate is so expensive in both HCMC & HaNoi that many hotels are tall and narrow.
Tall and narrow hotels are the rule in HCMC.
I used to stay at 62 Tran Phu Hotel, not anymore. My room had: air con, cable tv, hot water, fridge, elevator, lockboxes, free Internet and it is quiet. I wrote about the Nice Hotel in my blog.
