This procession will go until 6:00 am and began at 4:00 pm. For 26 hours they wander the streets of Antigua in mourning for Christ's death.

Aelteste Kirche Costa Ricas (das was noch davon uebrig ist...)

Im Orosi Valley stehen diese Ruinen einer alten Kirche. Das Dorf wurde damals aufgrund einer Seuche verlassen und die Kirche darum nicht wieder aufgebaut.

Iglesia de la virgin de los angeles

Kirche in Cartago im Stadtteil Los Angeles. Man sagt dort sei einem Maedchen die Jungfrau Maria erschienen beim Holzsammeln - darum ist jetzt dort diese Kirche. Cartago war die fruehere Hauptstadt Costa Ricas und noch immer leben dort die meisten Ureinwohner (Indigenos)
