I can't remember their names, but they were a lot of fun and very eager to converse. They spoke no English and my Japanese is limited, "sushi, wasabi....." . They had translators on their phones and knew how to use them. They just had trouble pronouncing the translators responses. I like to call them Bling 1 and Bling 2. They had lots of rhinestones on their clothes and fingernails. They had been on shopping vacation in Seoul.
Nancy, Zach, and Matt in front of these massive statues that were truly handmade.
Most famous for bronze chariots that lie inside. however, I was struck by the enormosity of each object. Seriously mega-sized figurine.
Made by Linan's mom. It's like fried chicken and much tastier than KFC. I was glad to try such a tasty Japanese dish.
It's very famous for Japanese Tea and quite far away from Kyoto.. the Uji Bridge is very nice!!
Cant speak Japanese? No worries! Take a photo of the plastic food outside many of the resturants and point to once inside. Saves the embarrassing tongue twisters
