Pamir Mountains

The view of Pamir Mountains from my car on the way to Karakul along Karakoram Highway, the highest highway in the world. The mountains are snow-capped all year round.

Pamir Footprint

I found an interesting profile on the side of Pamir Mountains along Karakoram Highway. This is the close of it. Don't they look like giant footprint?

In Uyghur, "Bulungkol" means "Corner Lake". If you cross Karakoram Highway from Kashgar, you'll meet this lake first before you meet the famous Karakul Lake. Although not as wide and as deep as Karakul, Bulungkol is as worthwhile to pay a visit.
