Hitch-hiking in Kashmir

This colorful truck and these colorful characters picked us up when we were hitch-hiking in Kashmir. They cooked beans with rise in the truck and we all ate in the middle of the road.

Pahalgam River

The clearest water I have ever seen. It is coming straight from the melting snow just up the mountain just outside Pahalgam and Aru.

Morning Ride on Dal Lake

It is 5:00 am, my shikara driver promised me a boat road out to the floating market on Dal Lake. So here I am blurry eyed and barely awake early morning as the sun tries to rise.

Candy Delights

The man who was showing me around Srinagar took me to his sister's house where we sat and drank tea. We sat in a very comfortable sitting room. I comment on the women's eyes. One allowed me to take picture of how beautiful they were.
